Acne Skincare: Hanun from Indonesia shares what helped her with acne.

Hanun from Jakarta, Indonesia has been struggling with acne since middle school and has only now become comfortable with her skin. She’s sharing her acne friendly skincare and makeup routine and hopes that it helps you too.

“It’s been a long battle with a lot more downs than ups but my friends have helped

me along the way with some of their helpful inputs! So I hope I can help you too!”

Q. Out of Skincare, Haircare, Makeup and Body Care on which area(s) do you spend the most time, what is most important to you and why?

Skincare and body care. I’ve always been insecure about it so I always try my best to feel my best in my skin. I love makeup too, it used to be more of a mask now I see and use it more for its art than anything else.

Q. Can you take us through your everyday beauty routine?

Daily AM: Brightening/Hydrating Cleanser

Pyun Kang Yul Hydrating Toner

SK-II Essence and Lotion (both are serums)

Somethinc Hyaluronic B5

Daily PM:

Deep Cleansing Cleanser

Kiehl’s Calendula Toner

SKII Essence and Lotion (same as the AM)

Elshé Skin Radiating Serum

L’Óccitane Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel

Weekly Monday: Exfoliating Chemical Peel

Weekly Friday: Face Masks

P.S. Don’t forget to clean your face with micellar water before washing your face (double cleanse for the win guys).

Q.What would be your one highly recommended beauty product, hack, service or DIY that you think everyone should give a shot?

Use serums more often! and don’t over-exfoliate! Do your research of the skincare you like and how it compares to your skin type before you try it. Also, I like to believe that using face masks once a week (usually at the end of the workdays), I’ve seen some more improvements when I do this regularly. I usually choose Mediheal and Ariul.

Q.Imagine your dream beauty product that currently does not exist. Why this product and what would you really want it to do for you?

A glowing stick that doesn’t make my face look oily and restrains my oiliness from showing through. I’ve always been hating this problem 😭

Q.Any tips for those with acne-prone skin?

Don’t be afraid to try new products, but make sure you learn about the product before you try it, which leads to my other point don’t forget to learn about new things and new developments in the industry.
